I hope all of you are getting used to the Michael Myers photos, because they just might become a staple of the season if Matt Bieniek has anything to say about it. After starting 0-4 and having some tough losses, the Slashers' owner thought it might just be time to pack it in for the season. However, the cool October air seems to have breathed new life into this squad at just the right time.
Meanwhile, his opponent, Scott "Scooter" Baker, was looking to once again climb the standings for the third straight week and move into a tie for second place with the League's best. After having a rough start of his own the man with the most Love for Fantasy Football has scratch and clawed, and gotten a liiiiitle lucky, back to a 3-2 record.
This matchup would determine which team was truly on the rise and which would be sent back into the shadows. Would the Slashers continue their October killing spree, or would Scooter finally put an end to their reign of terror? Let's go to the tape and see what happened.

Funnily enough, the Slashers have found great success in anchoring a lot of their production in the most unlikely of places - tight ends.
Turns out, the rest of the league's struggles to find a decent pass-catching lineman aren't entirely their fault. They're Matt's.
While the rest of us are digging through the waiver-wire dumpster looking for someone capable of catching three passes, Bieniek has been hoarding two of the best tight ends in football and starting them both every week.
These guys are reception machines, and often times find the endzone too. They provide a strong floor for the roster going into each week, and will also guarantee that the Slashers don't take a loss at tight end even during their bye weeks.
Oh, did I mention he also has Christian McCaffrey? Yeah... this dude's team can score, and they score every single week.

Despite his best efforts, Scott could not hold off the Slashers and get the win this week. Although still showing some promise, the lineup just could not produce a lot of points and it finally caught up with him.
Continued struggles at the running back position hold this team back from truly breaking through into that next tier of elite-ism. There are some really good contributors down the lineup, but without that running core this year, Baker's team has struggled in the year of the fantasy running back.
If this team can stay healthy, and Bijan becomes the beast we know he can be, there could still be some playoff hopes down the road. For now, they'll have to settle for 3-3 as they are right in the mix still for those last couple of playoff spots.
The Slashers now sit at 2-4, having won two of their last three games after an 0-4 start. If they can keep this momentum rolling and claw their way back to .500, we might have a legitimate comeback story on our hands.
After all, anyone who's seen a Halloween movie knows one thing about Michael Myers.
He never stays dead, and he's ALWAYS coming.
