So far this season there has admittedly been a bit of a theme with the teams who have been successful.
Sure the Kurdys last name does appear to hold a little more weight this season, but eventually they all have to play each other - right?
Well, Fantasy Owners, that's exactly what happened in this Week 4 matchup between the JaMario Kart Racers (3-0) and Super QB Hut General (2-1).
With two of the highest-scoring teams in the league you just knew there were going to be fireworks. Thankfully, this matchup happened whilst both owners were on a trip to Italy together so they could be blissfully distracted from the outcome.
Coming in to Week 4 the Racers were the most vulnerable they had been since the start of the season. They had four different starters all listed as OUT for the week and were starting a waiver wire tight-end.
Meanwhile, the General finally had her full battalion back with the return of Nico Collins and Aaron Jones to the lineup.
With this advantage Julia took charge from the jump. The majority of the weekend her team was sitting pretty up over 40-points and a 85% favorite to win going into Sunday night.
The only hope for AJ's Racers was the Carolina Panthers offense against the Swiss cheese defense of the Lions.
Turns out that's all he needed to make this a game! Chuba Hubbard (25.9pts) poured in two touchdowns while Tetairoa McMillan (45.2pts) went ballistic for three touchdowns of his own.
This little outburst actually put the racers in front for the first time all weekend! For 10 minutes...
Now, if I have learned anything from my parents it's if something is too good to be true, it usually is. This was exactly that. The Super QB part of The Hut was activated and Jared Goff threw for over 100 garbage time yards and a touchdown to Sam LaPorta.
The fat lady sang quickly after, and the Hut took down the Racers for the first time this season.
